Step 1 | Choose Your Workbook
Your first choice sets the tone for your writing session. Each workbook is an invitation to follow your imagination.
Step 2 | Select Your Prompt
Pick the prompt that calls to you. It leads into your first short writing session — a mini-adventure all your own.
Your choice awaits. Which Aster Workbook will guide your creative journey this autumn?
For those standing at a threshold. Old chapters closing, new ones waiting.
For those drawn to power and mystery. This path carries weight, with shadows of history pressing close.
For those willing to wait. Here, time slows down and meaning reveals itself in the quiet.
Now that you’ve chosen your path, it’s time to see where it leads.
Each choice you make corresponds to a prompt in your chosen workbook.
If you choose the first answer, turn to the first prompt in the workbook.
If you choose the second answer, turn to the second prompt.
If you choose the third answer, turn to the third prompt.
(Skip the journal pages for now — they’ll be waiting for you later.)
🌃 September | The Beginning
You step out of your apartment just as the streetlights hum to life. The September air is cool, tinged with smoke from the first fireplaces of the season. Fallen leaves scrape across the pavement, restless as though the city itself is holding a secret.
Three roads stretch before you:
🛤 To your left: the station road, alive with travelers and flickering neon.
🌱 Straight ahead: the quiet park path, hushed and still.
🏛 To your right: the grand avenue, golden lights spilling over stone facades.
Which way do you go?
🛤 The Station Road (The Pink Path - Transition)
The neon buzzes. Suitcases roll across cracked pavement. A guitar strums faintly, laughter mixes with muffled tears — the air smells faintly of roasted chestnuts from a street cart.
As you walk, a stranger brushes past and drops something.
If you pick it up → It’s an old train ticket, long expired, but the destination printed on it is“Somewhere New.”
If you don’t → You keep moving, carrying only your own thoughts.
Inside the station, the loudspeaker crackles:“All journeys require a choice.”
Where do you go?
Into the café across the street, where your reflection in the window reminds you of who you were → ✨“As she spins her cocoon, she reflects on her past and dreams of her future.”
Into the terminal itself, where shadows move strangely, and not everyone seems alive → 🌙“A departed soul arrives at the City of Ghosts.”
Toward the music outside, where friends play guitar for the last time before scattering → 🍂“Friends gather for one last hurrah before going their separate ways, grappling with the bittersweet feeling of transition.”
🌱 The Quiet Park Path (The Green Path - Patience)
The hum of the city fades. Leaves crunch beneath your shoes. The path smells of damp earth and cooling grass.
On a bench sits an old paperback.
If you open it → The pages are blank except for one line: “Not all waiting is wasted.”
If you don’t → You keep walking, listening to the wind rattle bare branches.
At the center of the park, time seems to slow.
At the bus stop, strangers fidget endlessly as the bus refuses to come → 🪞“Strangers trapped in a waiting room have their patience tested.”
In the field, people crawl instead of run, racing to be the slowest → 🐢“In a world obsessed with speed, a race is held where the slowest wins.”
At the garden fence, one person tends a rare flower not yet in bloom → 🌺“A gardener spends years cultivating a rare flower.”
🏛 The Grand Avenue (The Golden Path - Royalty)
The government buildings gleam like palaces, lit gold against the crisp September sky. Your footsteps echo on marble, louder with each step.
A street performer stops you, holding out a tarnished coin.
If you take it → The coin bears the face of a long-dead monarch.
If you refuse → You keep climbing, unseen eyes watching.
At the top, the air grows heavy with power.
The flashing news screen announces a crown stolen on the eve of rule → 👑 “On the eve of their coronation, a young monarch's crown is stolen.”
In the alley, a woman tucks secret papers into her coat before vanishing → 🕵️“A princess trained in the art of espionage is sent on a dangerous mission.”
In the palace windows, a shadow moves where no one should be → 👻“A restless spirit haunts the royal palace, seeking justice for a past wrong.”
✨ The September night deepens. The city grows stranger, inviting you to continue. Next month, the paths shift, and October waits with deeper mysteries.
For now, reflect on your choices. What themes and emotions resonate most strongly with you? Let these choices guide you as you dive into your own writing after finishing your favorite prompts.
And as always happy writing!
