Celebrate the arrival of Spring by putting together a Spring-themed writing box.
In a previous post, I shared how I made a writing box from an old wooden box. In April, I am making a basket of writing by dressing up a bicycle basket and filling it with some spring-themed stationery, tokens of playfulness, and some chocolate.
Easter is always a busy time in our house, so to balance it out, I take half a day to make sure I get some writing done. Usually, I would go to a cafe, but this year, I will stay at home and cozy up with a writing box made just for my inner writer. And my inner writer is so ready for a reset. As Spring is a time for renewal and new beginnings, I want to make the most of this writing-date reset. I do so by indulging in a new notebook, and I come up with new ideas for my writing by bringing some oracle cards.
Contents for a Spring-themed basket of writing
- Chocolate
- Coffee
- A new notebook
- Pen
- A dice
- Daffodils
- Oracle cards
- Stationery

Now for the writing date and how to lean into a spring-reset
- Create a Spring writing- box with a reset theme
- Schedule a writing date that marks the beginning of a new commitment to your writing practice
- At your writing-date, bring your Spring writing box, unpack, set up, and settle in.
- Now it is time to write. Let the reset settle in.
When you show up for this writing date, I almost guarantee you will feel like celebrating Spring for its power to bring about a reset, so if you are so inclined remember to include some chocolate in your writing box.
